The Gospel Is Good News
The Bible tells us how to go to Heaven for sure, and that it’s as easy as taking a drink of water. There are several videos on this page that give thorough and concise gospel presentations with verses from the Bible, as faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. You don’t have to go to church, quit sinning, or clean up your life. Those are good things to do, but salvation is a free gift, not of works, lest any man should boast.
And it’s eternal, which means you can never lose it. Gospel means good news, and you can hear all about it on this page.
Saved, Now What?
Once you’ve put your trust in Jesus you’re a saved child of God, it’s an eternal gift and you can never lose it.
John 10:28–3028 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
Once you’ve believed and called upon the name of the Lord it’s a done deal, you’re going to Heaven. Getting baptized, going to church and trying to get sin out of your life are all good things to do and you should, but they don’t determine where you go when you die.
However if you want God’s blessings on your earthly life and to avoid being disciplined in this life then you’ll want to love and obey God.
Romans 8:28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Hebrews 12:11Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
If you only remember a couple things about pleasing God, in Matthew chapter 22 Jesus was asked about the commandments and gave a clear answer that sums them all up into these two.
Matthew 22:36–4036 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
